Should you dress modestly? Should you wear head coverings?

Well, that all depends on you. What are you comfortable in? In Dreamism, everything we do is to perfect our souls and honor the entity or entities outside of this reality who made all of this possible. So, it all comes down to personal choice and belief. Do you feel like you’re honoring G-d by covering your head with a hat or kippah? Do you feel like you’re honoring G-d being as naked as the day you were born? No answer is correct, all that matters is that you take this choice seriously, and handle it with the same care you would when speaking to G-d directly. In Dreamism, it’s all about the seriousness of the practitioner. One Dreamist may disagree with another about what to wear or what to eat, but your opinion will always be respected as long as there’s a seriousness behind it.

Of course, you’ll never have to justify your actions or choices to another Dreamist, because it’s a very personal journey. We all have our own set ways that we worship, revere, and honor G-d, and no particular way is more valid than another. You may come across Muslim Dreamists, Hindu Dreamists, and even Agnostic Dreamists, and they’ll all have their own ideas on how to honor G-d, as well as their own modified belief systems. We all have our own paths to follow in perfecting our souls.

As Dreamists, we know that every action we take is important, and part of a bigger design. So, something as simple as getting dressed in the morning is a big deal, and we should carefully consider our options. Again, it’s not about what you wear, it’s about the intention and seriousness behind it. This, on a small scale is how we need to look at everything. From what we put into our body, to the words we put out into the world, we should give everything we do the same level of scrutiny. For instance, a Dreamist wouldn’t gossip because once you fire harmful words out into the world, you can’t take them back, and the person being slighted isn’t there to defend themselves, their stance, or their actions. You’re essentially damaging their reputation in the eyes of others, and that’s the image the people you’re gossiping with will always have in their head of that person. Do you think such a behavior honors G-d or your fellow man? Do you think it’s helping you perfect your soul?

We must work hard not to add to the chaos of this world, and sometimes all it takes is a little consideration. The extra half second of consideration before we do or say something can be all the difference between contributing to the chaos, or growing our soul. Act accordingly.
