The Dreamist Sabbath Ritual

To begin the Dreamist Sabbath ritual, find a quiet and comfortable space in your home where you can perform the ritual undisturbed. Set up an altar or table with the following items:

Two candles, representing the divine light that illuminates our path and the balance between the spiritual and physical realms.
Incense or a fragrant essential oil, representing the divine presence that permeates our world.
A chalice or goblet filled with wine, grape juice, or an alcoholic beverage of your choice. If you choose to use marijuana, have it prepared in your preferred method of consumption.
A plate with a selection of fruits, bread, or other food items, symbolizing the nourishment and sustenance provided by the Creator.
A bell or chime, to signify the beginning and end of the ritual.

Follow these steps to perform the ritual:

Light the candles and say the following incantation:

“Divine Creator, source of all light and life,
As these candles burn, may Your presence be known.
Guide us on the path of tikkun olam,
Helping us restore balance and harmony in our world.”

Light the incense or diffuse the essential oil, allowing the fragrance to fill the space.

Close your eyes and take a few deep breaths, centering yourself and focusing on the intention of the ritual. As you inhale, imagine the divine energy flowing into your body, and as you exhale, release any negative thoughts or emotions.

Ring the bell or chime once to signify the beginning of the Sabbath.

Take the chalice or goblet in your hands, and say the following incantation:

“Divine Creator, as I partake in this sacred drink,
May it nourish my soul and bring me closer to You.
Grant me the wisdom and strength to pursue tikkun olam,
And to create a world that reflects Your divine vision.”

Take a sip of the wine or your chosen beverage. If you are using marijuana, consume it in your preferred method at this time.

Place the food items on the altar or table, and say the following incantation:

“Divine Creator, thank You for the abundance of this world,
For the nourishment that sustains us and the beauty that surrounds us.
As we share in this meal, may we be reminded of our role in tikkun olam,
And the power we hold to transform our world for the better.”

Enjoy the food, savoring each bite and contemplating your connection to the Creator and your commitment to tikkun olam.

When you have finished eating, take a moment to reflect on the week that has passed and the week ahead. Consider the ways you can contribute to tikkun olam in your daily life, and set intentions for the coming week.

To close the ritual, say the following incantation:

“Divine Creator, as the sun sets and the Sabbath begins,
We give thanks for the time we have spent in this reality,
For the opportunities to grow and learn,
And for the guidance You provide on our journey towards tikkun olam.
May our hearts remain open to Your wisdom and love,
And may our actions reflect the divine light within us.”

Ring the bell or chime once more to signify the end of the ritual.

Extinguish the candles and allow the incense or essential oil to dissipate, symbolizing the conclusion of the ritual and the beginning of your chosen day of rest.

Throughout your Sabbath, take time to rest, reflect, and realign yourself with your goals of tikkun olam. Engage in activities that nourish your soul and deepen your connection with the divine, such as meditation, prayer, or spending time in nature.

By performing this ritual each week, you can create a powerful space for spiritual growth and self-discovery, reminding yourself of your commitment to tikkun olam and your connection with the Creator.
